I believe the heart of architecture is about space, function and design.
I’ve always loved to draw, and to create, and so architecture was an obvious career choice for me.
Since 2008, Antony DiMase and I have worked together to deliver beautiful results for our clients. We make a good, professional team – Antony is an excellent project manager and I look after much of the design and visualization side of things. Together, we draw on our expertise to make our clients’ visions a reality.
I like to take everything into account – air flow, sunlight, and how it all works together to create an effective space. And I love talking to clients about the finished look and feel, to find out what they really want. The creativity is often in the details.
I enjoy being involved and engaged with the wider community. Even as a school student I was always an active committee member, and that continued throughout my time at university. When I studied for my master’s degree in Australia, I was the CFO of the Indonesian Student Association in Australia for Swinburne University, the student representative on Swinburne’s Decoration and Design faculty committee plus the Secretary for the Young Indonesian Muslim Student Association. Once I’d finished studying, I volunteered with the Architects for Peace Organization in Melbourne and was their Multimedia Designer. I was also a cheer squad member of the St Kilda Football Club – Go Saints!
These days I’m involved with the Indonesian Islamic community in south eastern Melbourne, as Head of Social Media while also being an active voluntary teacher at its Sunday Islamic school.
