Services & Process

This section introduces our services and project delivery methods. At DiMase Architects, we prioritise transparency and clarity. We believe that robust processes lead to better projects, and our goal is to ensure that our service delivery is straightforward and reasonable.

Since 2015, DiMase Architects has been ISO 9001 certified, meeting an international standard audited annually by an independent consultant. We are also an A-plus member of the Australian Institute of Architects, and Antony is a founding director of Architects Declare. Additionally, we are a member of ArchiTeam Cooperative, which supports smaller practices in Australia. We regularly undertake CPD courses to stay updated with industry professionals. These initiatives and affiliations demonstrate our commitment to maintaining the high standards our clients expect.

What we truly value is cooperation, project experience, and investing in the design process to deliver worthwhile outcomes. We strive for the entire project delivery process to be clear, coherent, and consistent for all stakeholders. Much like our architectural projects, we continually refine our service delivery process to manage complexity and competing requirements through careful planning, clear communication, and a strategic approach that benefits all parties involved.

At its core, DiMase Architects is a collaboration between Antony DiMase and Niea Nadya. Together, we have the expertise to deliver impactful projects. We work as a partnership, responding to project issues with clarity and coherence. Our team collaborates with a trusted network of consultants, suppliers, and industry connections to inform our decision-making process.

Things you should know

We do not take on projects without the involvement of a Cost Planner.

We always involve a Cost Planner in our projects to ensure alignment with clients’ financial expectations. Cost Planning expertise is crucial for matching the project scope to the budget and financial goals.

Fee Structure

Our fee structure is designed to be fair and competitive, reflecting the value we bring to each engagement.

We strive to avoid hidden costs or unexpected charges, providing clients with the confidence and peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly what they are paying for.

Process

Professional Services

Our fees vary for each stage and are proportional to the cost and complexity of the project. Our fee structure outlines the cost of our work for each stage and forms part of our agreement before any work begins.

Other Services

Not everything we do fits neatly into a predefined category. Antony, with a Masters in Lighting, has completed the Passive House course, and both Antony and Niea have attended numerous Continuing Professional Development seminars.

Our experience allows us to tailor services to meet your specific needs. In the past, we have provided advice on building conditions, resolved disputes, ensured compliance with authorities, advised on town planning matters, assisted with furniture selection, and helped colleagues find contractors. We offer a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise and are open to providing professional services where we can add value to your needs.

Case Study

To manage her finances effectively, she reviewed our fee schedule and asked questions before signing an agreement.

Our fee structure, based on a percentage of the construction cost, was fixed in place according to the Cost Plan estimate at Detail Design, so Sarah knew exactly what her fees would be.

Before committing to a full-service arrangement, DiMase Architects completed a Pre-Design stage to ensure the project’s parameters, budget, and brief were solid. This stage offered options to better understand the design process and gave Sarah confidence in the foundational work.

By understanding the fee structure, Sarah could estimate architectural costs and stay within her overall budget, making informed decisions throughout the design and construction phases.
